The only way of knowing whether you have high blood pressure is to have a blood pressure test.
All adults over 40 are advised to have their blood pressure checked at least every 5 years. Getting this done is easy and could save your life.
You can get your blood pressure tested at a number of places, including at our pharmacies. If you've not been diagnosed with high blood pressure and would like to get yours checked, contact or visit one of our branches.
If we find any potential signs of high blood pressure, we will refer you to your GP for further investigation and treatment if appropriate.

What does EPS mean for you?
If you collect your repeat prescriptions from the surgery you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, your surgery will send it electronically, saving you time. Of course, if we usually collect your prescription from the surgery, you will not notice any difference.
You also may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as there will be time for your repeat prescriptions to be ready before you arrive.
Is EPS reliable, secure and confidential?
Yes. Your electronic prescription will only be seen by the same people in GP practices, pharmacies and NHS prescription agencies that see your paper prescription now.
It only takes a few minutes to complete the application form
Do I have to pay for using EPS?
No, you don't have to pay anything extra to use EPS. The service is provided and offered by NHS.
I use my paper prescription to request my next repeat prescription issue. How can I do this if I don’t receive a paper copy?
As electronic prescriptions are used more and more, GP practices may start offering different ways to order repeat prescriptions that will not require a paper copy of the prescription. However, if you do require a paper copy, simply let us know and we will arrange for one to be printed.
Can I nominate a chain of pharmacies or dispensing appliance contractors?
No, you can only nominate a specific location to receive your electronic prescriptions.
Can I choose for my prescription not to be sent using the Electronic Prescription Service?
Yes, you have a choice of how your prescription is generated. We can advise you about this.
Does using EPS mean I will see my GP less often?
No, it just means that you may not have to call at your GP practice just to collect a prescription.
